Overview of the town of Ave Maria
Collier County’s newest municipality is the Town of Ave Maria. The town, a master planned community, will encompass about 8 square miles. Centering the community will be Ave Maria University (originally Ave Maria College from Ypsilanti, MI. A key concept of Ave Maria is having a environment offering a hometown where both living and learning are compatible together, as well as, a true sense of neighbors caring about neighbors.
The Town of Ave Maria will eventually have about 8,000 residences in four distinctive neighborhoods. The neighborhoods will have parks, open spaces, and activities meeting the needs of the multi-generational residents. The neighborhoods are Bellera Walk, Del Webb, Emerson Park and Hampton Village each offering different types of home-ownership and home designs.
At the center of Ave Maria is the La Piazzo, which is the town center where residents will be able to enjoy boutiques, restaurants, grocery store, coffee shop, ice cream parlor, and other places for gathering. Fountains, music and various attractions will be offered to foster the sense of community. You will find schools, parks, health care facilities and public safety offices. The La Piazzo will also have the Oratory. Ave Maria University will be located across the street from the La Piazzo.
