Estero golf courses maybe either be public or associated with a particular community. When associated a golf course is associated with a community, it might be either semi-private, bundled or private.

The Pelican Sound Golf and River Club has three 9 hole courses available. The Sound course at features 3,622 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The Lakes course features 3,440 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The River course features 3,402 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. All thress courses were designed by Chip Powell and Mike Hill. The Lakes and River golf courses opened in 1998. The Sound golf course opened in 2000.
