Economic Stimulus Payment

For many Americans they are looking forward to their rebate check from the Internal Revenue Service. Individuals are looking forward to their $600, married couples with no qualifying children $1,200, and married couples with qualifying children $1,200 with an additional $300 per child.

To some people receiving the rebate checks, the amount they are receiving is not what they expected - in fact it is below the above stated amounts.

The amount to be received is dependent upon the amount of adjusted gross income and the amount of income taxes which you incurred for 2007.

I found on the Internal Revenue Service’s website a calculator that you can use to determine how much of an economic stimulus check or rebate check you should be expecting. By clicking on this link - calculate your rebate check - after entering some basic information about yourself and income tax return, the amount of check will be made available.

Hope you find this little calculator useful.

    Hi Glenn,

First of all, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving comments. I certainly appreciate you taking the time to do so.

I like how you’re blogging about current events that affect home buyers/sellers. It is so important that people are well informed, and the information you provide, does just that.

    Keep up the great work.

I had come acrossed this calculator a few weeks ago ojn the IRS web site and used it to figure my refund. I did not get what I expected back nor did I get the amount the calculator came up with. I an married, filed jointly and have one qualifying child. Based on my input the calculator said I should get back $900. I thought I would have been getting more than that but I was satisfied. I just checked my bank account and my refund was $450, way less than I expected and half what the calculator estimated. I know it is just an estimate but half? Thanks for listening~!

Got something to say?
